Effective but difficult installation
The inside of my Tesla was warm in the hot day although I turned on the AC. This roof cover effectively blocked the heat from the glass roof. This cover has good quality however the frame is hard so the installation is difficult, and the fit is not perfect.

The headline gives the reason for 1 star reduction. I have help for each issue: The lack instructions simply needed to explain that there are three types of clips; most for the sides (right in pic), 2 for the middle (mid in pic), and I don't know what the other 4 are for (I didn't use them and it is good). The side hooks sort of twist on the sides so the flat part is against the glass and the tab slides above the car trim. The middle clips are like a T and do the same for each sun shade.The label tags are helpful, but should only show on the upper side (the shinny side) and not be seen while in use. So, I put a piece of black take over the words, otherwise the words look tacky.

Seller says it doesn't work on older years but I took a chance on it for my 2018 Model S and turn out to be a pretty decent fit. Front an back fit well. Since this comes in 2 pieces, the center overlapped about an inch or so. Besides that it fit very well. Used the clips it came with. Installed it with silver side facing the glass roof. Good deal. Feels solid overall.

Easy to install and kept our Model S much cooler, when parked and while driving in hot sun. Don’t even notice it’s there.

This is a good product - much better than Tesla's OEM (which I bought and returned) at 1/2 the price. However, it is moderately difficult to install, even if you watch video (3 times for me). Important to lay the two screens out like they will go into the car (Al sider up/black down; curved edge to front) and then practice taking the brackets on and off (hint; you need to rotate them 90 degrees). Even then, there were places on my model S that the brackets would NOT slip into the side opposite the screen. Still not sure if this is a Tesla assembly issue, but it forced some compromises which mattered less in the end than I originally feared. Finally, there are 2 little gaps (5 mm) on each edge where the two pieces meet each other. A little black felt stuffed in cures the problem. Finally, we originally planned on taking the screen out during the winter, but I told my wife she needs HUSBAND 2.0 for that chore.

I had Tesla's own shade first with my Model S, but I wasn't happy with it. This fits perfectly and blocks sun and heat very well.

Following a brief review of 2-minute DIY YouTube demos (no instructions included) installation was simple and took less than 10 minutes. The foldability makes it compact for storage and installation. The outward facing silver side deflects the sun while the interior facing light gray finish keeps the cabin from feeling too dark. When choosing this product I prioritized regulating the cabin temperature over the beautiful panoramic sunroof views in preparation for the rising temperatures of the summer. This durable two-piece sunroof shade has two center clips that do not require a magnet to remedy sagging.

The installation video does not reflect the exact sunshade bought for model S. It took a while to figure out where to put clips in order to hold the sunshade against glass roof. The pull tabs sewed to the edge can be eliminated cause they create gap to cause light leak.
