Install time + tools
Time: 2β3 min. Tools: no tools required.
- Open the front and rear doors and align the panel with the roof edge guide.
- Press the magnetic strip up against the roof headliner β the panel will self-retain.
- Tuck both rear corners under the C-pillar trim for a clean fitment.
Real tradeoffs
- Reflects ~92% of solar UV (measured against a calibrated UV transmittance meter at 22 Β°C ambient). Cabin temp delta on a 95 Β°F Phoenix afternoon: β18 Β°F over a 90-minute parked test.
- Nano ice-crystal layer is what enables the headliner-side magnetic retention β but it adds a slight grey tint when looking up from inside.
- Foldable to a 280 mm Γ 220 mm storage pouch (included). Some owners feel the storage pouch is overkill; you can leave the panel under the rear seat with no creasing.
Who should NOT buy this
- You drive a Legacy Model 3 (2017β2023) β the two-piece roof has different mounting geometry.
- You drive a Model Y (Juniper or pre-Juniper) β different roof curvature; this Highland-specific shade will not retain.
- You want a fully transparent 'invisible' shade β the nano ice-crystal layer adds a subtle grey tint by design.

Great summer Shade
Directions are digital and do not match the product I received but the product looks great and fits well. Just need to take time to ensure the clips are centered and in the right area to support the shade during hard bumps and daily drives. I recommend Basenor to my customers due to my experiences with what I've purchased from them.

Perfect Friend to 2024 Tesla Model 3 Highland
Once installed, it fits so well that it's hard to tell that it's an aftermarket product. It blocks heat so well that you can touch the ceiling without feeling any heat even on a hot day, so I highly recommend using this product instead of expensive tinting.

dont even waste money on tinting your roof on the tesla... i did that and it was still hot in the car! after getting these, which was a perfect fit, i notice the car is sooo much cooler when parked under the sun!

Improves temperature during hot summers
I'm not sure why tesla insists you burn your head off while driving but they do. Thankfully Basenor figured this out and designed these excellent sunshades that improve the temperature and light in the vehicle. Excellent value for the money
