The installation was as expected. You need patience, strength, and focus, but it snaps on just right and it stays. No wiggles, ample space, gets positive comments from passengers in my car. Good stuff. I love products that just work. Just do what it claims it does. It's not too much to ask.
It took me freaking 10 minutes to do it, but 9.5 minutes of it was done incorrectly. Once I figured out it was my bad, it took me less than 30 seconds to install it. I think the seller should make an installation video on it, but I guess they didn’t do it correctly so this item was returned a lot.
I read all the reviews regarding difficult installation and, after a little spray of WD40 on each tab, could click the pieces together without much difficulty. The rubber mat and lip at the edge of the opening combined with the slight tilt of the box helps to prevent phones from sliding out under hard acceleration!
Wife was complaining that there was no place to put “her” items when traveling- this item is sturdy and very stealth like. I love it as now she can put her “essentials” in an easy to reach location without opening any compartments. This should’ve been included in my Tesla from the beginning.
This was a little difficult to put in since it's so snug. After a few minutes of trying and snapping it into place, it looks as if it came with the car. Very deep and spacious. Has a rubber/silicone padding so things won't slide and has a small lip (see in video) to prevent anything from falling out.
I really liked the idea of this and I don’t know why Teslas don’t have a compartment like this already. Ended up returning because it took up too much space.
