This insert uses two spring loaded spacers that reduce the size of each cup holder by about 1/2 inch so that a 12 oz. soda can fits nicely with a little wiggle room remaining. The insert is held in place by two rubberized pads so that it stays in place. Can be easily removed if needed.
The cup holder insert works great. It holds all my normal-sized beverage containers in place. No more sloshy spills from merely turning a corner! If you often have larger sized containers, this might not be for you. A standard “venti” Starbucks cup fits great as well as any cups from Dunkin or other to-go cups from restaurants.
I recommend this cup insert by Basenor! It makes a huge difference in keeping water bottles or drink cups in a still position as you are driving. Fits perfectly into the divider between the two cup holders. Easy to install and easy to remove.
Fits perfect! A pet peeve of mine if the model 3, was how my drinks spilled in the cup holder or center console. With this, I no longer have to worry about drinks spilling while going over bumps or taking turns. Highly recommended!!
If you don't have one of these, you NEED to order it ASAP. My 2021 Model Y was delivered 3 days ago and this was on of the cheapest and best purchases I have made for it. I have no clue why the car doesn't come with this but it actually looks Stock, like it came with the vehicle.
This device fits well, but the spring tabs do not provide any pressure on a standard size water bottle. The color does not match the Tesla's center console color.
