Do Model S accessories fit the Model X?
Some interior parts (kick mats, console organizers) cross-fit because the dashboard share platform; body parts (mud flaps, mats, sunshades) do NOT cross-fit because the X is taller, wider, and has Falcon-Wing rear doors. We label every SKU on this page as "Model X only" or "S/X cross-fit" so the difference is unambiguous before you buy.
Can I install a roof rack or roof box on the Model X?
No. Falcon-Wing doors swing through the roof airspace — installing a traditional roof rack means the doors physically can't open. Use a hitch-mounted bike rack or hitch cargo carrier instead. Tesla rates the X tow capacity at 5,000 lbs.
What's different about the Plaid Model X?
Three things change accessory selection: the yoke steering wheel (round-wheel grips/covers don't fit), the stalkless cabin (different gear-selector access), and the 22-inch wheel option (mud-flap clearance is tighter). Pre-Plaid (2015-2020) accessories generally don't carry over to Plaid (2021+) interior parts.
Is there a 5-seat Model X accessory option?
BASENOR currently stocks dedicated 6-seat and 7-seat Model X mat sets. The 5-seat trim is rarer in the catalog — for now, 6-seat sets work as a near-fit (the third-row floor remains exposed). We're sourcing 5-seat-specific SKUs for the next catalog refresh.
Does the Model X need a NACS adapter for non-Tesla chargers?
Pre-2024 Model X uses Tesla's proprietary connector — yes, you need a J1772 or CCS1 adapter for non-Tesla chargers. 2024+ Model X ships NACS-native and works with Tesla Superchargers + the growing NACS network without an adapter.
