Tesla Europe has shared footage of FSD Supervised stepping in to prevent a potential T-bone collision on Dutch roads — a real-world demonstration of the system's collision avoidance capabilities in European driving conditions.
The clip, posted by Tesla's official EMEA account, shows FSD Supervised reacting to a crossing vehicle before the driver could — exactly the scenario the system is designed to handle. It's the kind of footage that tends to resonate with skeptics: not a controlled demo, but a moment captured on public roads in the Netherlands, where FSD Supervised only received regulatory approval from the Dutch Vehicle Authority (RDW) on April 10, 2026 — making the Netherlands the first country in Europe to authorize the technology.
That approval followed more than 18 months of testing by the RDW, including over 1.6 million kilometers driven on European roads. The regulator classifies FSD Supervised as a driver-controlled assistance system, not an autonomous one — meaning the driver remains legally responsible and must stay attentive at all times. The version currently running in the Netherlands is v14.2.2.5, delivered via software update 2026.3.6, and the initial rollout targets Hardware 4 vehicles.
