Tesla Energy has officially begun installing the Powerwall 3P in Germany, marking the product's active rollout in one of Europe's most important energy storage markets. The announcement came directly from Tesla's official energy account, confirming that installations are now underway following deliveries that began in late April 2026.

The Powerwall 3P is a purpose-built three-phase variant of the Powerwall 3, engineered specifically for the European grid standard. Unlike the single-phase Powerwall familiar to US owners, this version integrates a battery, hybrid inverter, and home energy management system into a single unit — eliminating the need to stack multiple Powerwalls in homes wired for three-phase power, which is standard across much of Europe. The European launch event was held at Gigafactory Berlin, which serves as the manufacturing base for the European market.
On the specs side, each Powerwall 3P unit stores 13.5 kWh of usable energy and delivers up to 15.4 kW of continuous AC output (or 11.5 kW without solar input or at higher temperatures), with a 21 kW one-second backup peak. Four MPPT solar inputs support a connected PV array of up to 20.3 kW, and the system achieves 98.4% solar-to-grid efficiency. For larger homes or higher energy demands, a single unit can be expanded with up to three Powerwall 3 Expansion modules — reaching 54 kWh — and up to four Powerwall 3P systems can be combined for 61.6 kW of output and 94.5 kWh of total storage. A 10-year warranty is included, and the integrated home energy management system runs on local processing with no subscription required.
Installation is restricted to Tesla-certified partners, and the unit ships pre-assembled and pre-wired to streamline the process. Pricing for the German market has not been officially disclosed. For German homeowners who have been waiting on a native three-phase solution, the wait is now over — the question is how quickly certified installers can scale to meet demand.
