Forecasted availability goes a step further: it predicts how busy a Supercharger is likely to be by the time you arrive, based on historical usage patterns and real-time fleet data.

If you're routing a two-hour drive and a Supercharger along the way typically fills up mid-afternoon, the forecast can flag that before you commit to the stop. Who Gets It

Eligibility requires a vehicle with Google Maps built into the infotainment system. How to Enable It

  1. Open Google Maps on your vehicle's built-in display (or on your phone if using Android Auto/CarPlay with a compatible setup).
  2. Search for a Supercharger along your route or near your destination.
  3. Look for the opt-in prompt within the Supercharger location details panel. Tesla has indicated this will appear for eligible vehicles during the rollout.
  4. Accept the opt-in to enable forecasted availability data and contribute anonymized usage data back to the network.
  5. Plan your stop using the predicted availability alongside the live stall count already visible in Google Maps.

If you don't see the opt-in prompt immediately, the rollout is still in progress — check back over the next few days as Tesla pushes it to more vehicles globally.
