The Tesla community is converging on Austin. The X Takeover, a two-day global fan event organized by Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley, is set for October 9–10 at Giga Texas — and with VIP tickets already sold out, the window to attend is narrowing fast.

Two Days, One Factory
The event is structured across two distinct days, each with a different focus. Friday, October 9 is reserved for factory access — Giga Texas tours and a drone and light show — but that access is limited to VIP Premium and VIP Performance ticket holders. Since VIP tiers are already sold out, Friday is effectively closed to new registrants.
Saturday, October 10 is the main event: a full conference and expo running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., capped by a second drone and light show at 9:00 p.m. This is the day open to standard admission holders, and it's where the bulk of the programming lives.
Standard admission tickets are currently waitlisted. Children under 18 attend free, and the main stage content will be livestreamed for those who can't make it in person.
Who's Speaking — and What's on the Floor
The confirmed keynote lineup includes Maye Musk and Nicki Minaj, alongside engineers, entrepreneurs, and at least one Neuralink patient, according to event organizers. That last detail is notable — it signals the event is positioning itself as a broader Elon Musk ecosystem gathering, not strictly a Tesla vehicle show.
On the floor, attendees can expect a Customized Tesla Showcase, a dedicated Cybertruck Showcase, and what organizers describe as up-close access to the Cybercab and Optimus robot. The event's stated scope covers Tesla vehicles, energy, robotics, AI, and SpaceX — with additional programming around Neuralink and The Boring Company.
That breadth is deliberate. TOSV is framing The X Takeover as a global fan fest for the full Musk technology universe, not just a car meet.
Tesla's Role: Venue, Not Sponsor
One important distinction worth flagging: Tesla is providing the venue space at Giga Texas, but the event is independently organized by Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley (TOSV, Inc.), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Tesla has not endorsed or sponsored the event. That matters for attendees calibrating expectations — this is a community-organized gathering that happens to take place inside one of the world's most recognizable EV factories, not an official Tesla product event.
That said, the venue itself is a draw. Giga Texas produces the Cybertruck and is expected to begin Cybercab volume production in 2026, making the factory floor genuinely relevant to anyone following Tesla's near-term product roadmap.
What the Timing Suggests
Holding a community event at Giga Texas in October — as Cybercab production ramps and Optimus development accelerates — is unlikely to be coincidental. TOSV has clearly timed the event to maximize the hardware on display. Whether that translates into any formal announcements from Tesla's side remains to be seen, but the proximity to active production lines gives the event a different weight than a typical fan gathering at an off-site venue.
For owners who want to attend, the practical path is the standard admission waitlist. The livestream covers main stage content for those outside Austin. Either way, October 10 is shaping up to be one of the more substantive community moments of the year — and the countdown is under four weeks.
