US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer is scheduled to tour Tesla's Fremont, California factory this Thursday, June 11, as part of a broader two-day swing through advanced manufacturing facilities in the state. The visit carries some backstory worth noting. In March 2025, Tesla formally wrote to Greer's office during a review of unfair trade practices, urging the administration to weigh the downstream impact of tariffs on American exporters and flagging supply chain constraints — particularly around lithium-ion battery components.
