Cybertruck Beast Mode: The Numbers Behind the Hype

The official Cybertruck account posted a two-word caption Thursday evening — 'Beast Mode' — alongside a video that lets the truck do the talking. It's a flex, but it's one backed by some genuinely staggering numbers that are worth revisiting.

Beast Mode is exclusive to the top-tier Cyberbeast trim — the tri-motor configuration that starts at $99,990. When engaged, it sharpens throttle response for maximum acceleration and automatically lowers the air suspension to its most aggressive ride height. The result: 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds, which Car and Driver confirmed makes it the quickest production pickup truck they've ever tested. The quarter-mile falls in under 11 seconds — a tested 10.963 seconds at 120 mph exit speed, to be precise.

The tri-motor drivetrain produces 845 horsepower and delivers 10,296 lb-ft of wheel torque — a figure that sounds almost fictional until you watch the truck pull. Top speed is capped at 130 mph. Despite the performance focus, the Cyberbeast still carries an EPA-estimated 320 miles of range from its 123 kWh battery pack, and it can tow up to 11,000 pounds when the situation calls for something other than drag racing.

The timing of the post is notable. As of today, Tesla has temporarily paused Cybertruck deliveries nationwide while a firmware update is pushed across the fleet — meaning some buyers are waiting a little longer than expected to experience Beast Mode for themselves. The showcase feels like a reminder of exactly what's waiting for them on the other side of that update.
