X Takeover 2026 Heads to Giga Texas This October

The Tesla community's biggest annual gathering is heading to Austin. The Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley X Takeover event is slated for October 9–10, 2026, with Giga Texas as the new host location — a significant upgrade from previous venues and a natural fit for an event that now spans Tesla, EVs, and SpaceX themes.

The event, formerly known as Tesla Takeover, rebranded to X Takeover to reflect its broader scope. According to xtakeover.com, it's designed as the ultimate experience for Tesla and SpaceX enthusiasts, featuring Cybertruck showcases, synchronized drone and light shows, keynote speakers, and up-close access to vehicles including the Cybertruck, Robotaxi, and Optimus robot. Giga Texas — Tesla's sprawling Austin manufacturing campus — has hosted major community moments before, including the 2022 Giga Fest opening celebration and the Cybertruck delivery event in November 2023, so the venue carries real weight for long-time owners.

Note that as of this writing, the official X Takeover website still lists the location as TBA. The October 9–10 dates and Giga Texas venue come from community announcements, so it's worth keeping an eye on xtakeover.com for official confirmation before booking travel. Tickets appear to already be available based on the post above.

For Tesla owners who've never attended, this is the kind of event where you'll see prototype hardware, hear directly from community insiders, and spend a weekend surrounded by people who genuinely understand why you spent an hour optimizing your charge schedule. If Giga Texas is confirmed, it'll be the most compelling backdrop the event has had yet.
